Monday Feedback Day!

Each quarter, TruQu publishes facts about feedback based on analysis of its metadata.

In November and December, the annual appraisal cycle peaks. Many employees suddenly realize that they need additional input for the annual appraisal and start asking feedback from colleagues.

For these people we have the following tips based on an analysis of the meta-data¹ of TruQu :

Do you want input for your appraisal? Please note that on average 62.5% of the reviews will be submitted.

Feedback

In order to increase the likelihood of a review being submitted, you can use the tips below:

The best day to send your review request is Monday; 54% of all submitted reviews that are requested on a Monday (before 11:00) are submitted that same day. One day later (Tuesday) 69% of all  submitted reviews requested on Monday have been completed.

The worst day to send out a feedback request is a Friday or a Saturday. The time has an impact on the response as well. Review requests appear to have a lower response rate after 16 o’clock.

Does it help to send out a reminder? Yes it certainly helps! Do not wait seven days or longer, but send the reminder within five days. This immediately has a major impact on the response. The response after sending the reminder in 5 days is significantly higher than the response of sending the reminder after 7 days.

Ultimately, 96% of all completed reviews are submitted within 2 weeks after the initial request. Only 4% will be submitted after this period.

Also examined in this analysis is in which months the response rates are higher or lower. Can you see a difference between the different months? Yes, that’s for sure. Review requests that are requested during August are significantly less often completed. The influence of the holidays may play a role in this.

Summarizing:

A feedback request that is sent out on Monday before 11.00 has the highest chance to be completed.
